Saved in Delivery Fees
Mosen Ali is the director of Bombay Grill House, a three-location Indian restaurant group in New York City with outposts in Hell’s Kitchen, Brooklyn, and Queens. Surrounded by offices, hospitals, and schools, the team has built a loyal following of guests who love to enjoy Indian food at home — making delivery a core part of the business.

Delivery is essential at every Bombay Grill House location — where nearby offices, hospitals, and schools keep the kitchen moving. But the economics weren’t working. “Once I saw how much we were losing per order, it became obvious it was not the food or labor — it was the fees,” says Mosen. Third-party platforms were charging 30% commissions on every order, turning delivery into a line item the team was losing money on rather than profiting from.
Sauce offered the same delivery service — drivers, customer support, the works — for a flat fee instead of a percentage cut. “We save about 10% from there. We saved over $30,000,” Mosen says. Operationally, the team went from juggling a stack of tablets and printers — one per third-party platform — to running the entire delivery operation from a single tablet. Sauce handled installation and integration in about two days. “Working with Sauce delivery now feels like an extension of our brand instead of a third-party experience,” says Mosen.
With Sauce Couriers, the team can focus on the kitchen and the guest experience instead of chasing drivers. “As soon as the order is placed, the Sauce drivers arrive at the restaurant. They know exactly which order to pick up and drop it off to customers on time,” Mosen explains. If anything goes wrong, customers reach out to the Sauce service team directly — leaving the Bombay Grill House crew free to cook.
The result is a delivery experience guests notice and appreciate. “We even get phone calls from customers talking about how efficient the delivery was and how well the food was handled. They thank us for working with Sauce,” Mosen says. For him, the verdict is simple: “It’s really a game changer — and we’re happy with that.”
