Legacy customer story
Oppi’z Bistro
Oppi’z Bistro used Sauce to connect social and web ordering, reduce delivery economics friction, and build a direct customer base.
Turning social demand into direct orders
Oppi’z Bistro needed a way to connect customer interest from web and social channels to an ordering experience the restaurant could own. The goal was not only more transactions, but a larger pool of loyal online customers.
Sauce gave the restaurant a direct path from discovery to ordering, reducing the dependency on marketplace apps for customers who already knew the brand.
Reducing delivery friction
The story focuses on the everyday friction behind delivery: fees, handoff, customer communication, and the challenge of turning one-time online orders into repeat customers.
A branded ordering flow helps the restaurant keep the relationship visible. Guests order from Oppi’z, not from a marketplace screen that can immediately point them to a competitor.
Building a repeat customer base
The long-term value is customer ownership. When orders come through the restaurant channel, the restaurant can understand who ordered, how often they come back, and what offers or reminders might bring them back again.
For the POC, this story supports the same core Sauce message as the rest of the site: direct delivery is not just a cost decision. It is a retention and brand-control decision.
