Brainchild of a well-known, Miami-based entrepreneur, Dilo Murad drew his inspiration from his Kurdish/German upbringing when creating the menu and overall concept for Avo. Born out of a desire to offer fresh, tasty meals made from sustainably sourced foods, it was Murad’s intention to create a restaurant that is simultaneously healthy for the body, soul and the environment!
“The idea behind Avo Miami started with my personal journey to become a healthier person,” explained Murad, ``I wanted to make an impact in my community by offering quality, healthy food with bold flavor profiles inspired by my favorite foods.”
When developing the menu for Avo, Murad enlisted the expert culinary skills of Chef Yaniv Cohen, known as “The Spice Detective.” A purposeful use of sustainably sourced herbs and spices, every ingredient is selected with health and wellness benefits at top of mind.
Revealing his dedication and pursuit to seek out and develop recipes that both taste - and do - good, Murad explained, in a recent press release, that he has “always loved the taste of traditional classic homemade cuisine,” and revealed that his purpose, when creating the Avo menu, was to elevate familiar favorites with a “focus on freshness.”
It’s for that reason that guests at Avo Miami can expect classics like Shashuka, homemade lentil soup, and falafel, while experiencing a unique array of mouthwatering signature dishes like Avo Truffle Toast, Zatter Lamb Chops, French Fried Truffle-Aioli, protein-packed power bowls, and a variety of signature house salads that decorate the menu with green goodness.
Breakfast at Avo Miami presents a series of ubiquitous avocado toasts, including fan favorites like Avocado Feta and Walnut Toast, Avo Truffle Toast, and Avo Salmon Toast, a combination of avocado, ricotta cheese, dill, and smoked salmon drizzled with lemon-infused olive oil, served on thick-cut, country-style bread. More breakfast and brunch specialties like Turkish Bourekas and Matcha Pancakes complete the menu at this bohemian-inspired bistro by the bay.
All-day lunch includes specialties like the Pulled Chicken Sandwich, European Salad, and Vegan Falafel, served as a bowl or a generous side.
Light and healthy, made with a choice of various protein options including spicy grilled tuna, marinated shrimp brochettes, grilled chicken brochettes, grilled salmon or vegan falafel, Avo's Protein Bowls make the perfect post-workout meal. The beverage menu features a full coffee bar, made with coffee beans from Counter Clutter, includes a choice of lattes, coladas, espresso, and dairy-free cappuccinos, as well as fresh squeezed juices, Pure Green Juices and Bali coconut water.
